A very beloved interviewee said goodbye on the last day of 2024. Pacifico Assis Casal passed away at the age of 93. 

Pacifico was one of our first biographees, in 2021. In his book, we recorded his youth in the rural colony, in Santa Justina, with his 12 siblings; the courtship and marriage to Lourdes; the birth of his daughters, Nadia and Neiva; the move to Caxias, where he began driving a truck; his years as a taxi driver and his work at the family company, Franzoi Ferramentas. 

When he was about to turn 93, in September 2024, we visited him at his home to record a video, where he talked about the passing of time. Asked about how to reach 90 in good shape, he answered: "you just keep working and, before you know it, the years go by and you lose track of time."
